English Summary/英文概要： War, unfortunately, is one of the oldest human activities and over time, it has become a dramatic reflection of the society, culture, and technology of its time. This volume traces 3,000 years of military history, from ancient battles to more recent conflicts, narrated and illustrated through photographs, maps, and digital reconstructions based on the most up-to-date historical documentation, in order to immerse readers in the staggering reality of military action. The work is divided into five sections. Each section opens with an introductory page, illustrating the technological innovations and the war strategies of the historical period. The battles are presented in chronological order, from the battle of Qadesh in 1286 B.C. to the terrible ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza.
